The meeting is a unique opportunity for the dissemination and discussion of cutting-edge basic science and clinical ophthalmic research.

In the morning the meeting welcomes research trainee abstract presentations (oral and poster) from ophthalmologists, optometrists and visual scientists of all levels.  Clinical and basic science research presentations take place, along with the Optometry Guest Lecture ‘Cataract surgery changes to falls rates’ Professor David Elliott, Bradford School of Optometry and Vision Sciences, Bradford University.

After a hot buffet lunch the afternoon symposium starts with the Norman Galloway Lecture, 'Asthetics' given by Prof Bhupendra Patel from Salt Lake City, Utah.

This continues with presentations from other eminent ophthalmologists, optometrists and scientists and our 'In the Pipeline' session with presentations from selected sponsors.

Abstract submission is open until 14th December 2014.
Instructions for Authors:
Abstracts should follow the subheadings: Title, Authors and Affiliations, followed by Purpose, Methods, Results, and Conclusions, approximately 250 words.  
Please also include your name, position, hospital, preferred address, telephone and e-mail address.
Please indicate your preferred presentation technique: Oral and/or Poster.

Receipt of abstracts will be promptly acknowledged.  Successful abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings and NES website.
